Lauryn Etienne of Oregon outdueled Milton’s Gwen Baker in a Badger Large softball game Tuesday in Oregon.

Etienne limited Milton to just two hits, both singles, and struck out 10 Red Hawks as the Panthers won 2-0.

Baker wiped out a leadoff walk with a double play, but a single from Carly Zych and a walk for Etienne put two on with two out in the first.

Teagan Simpson came up next and poked a ground ball through the right side of the infield to score a run.

Simpson also drove in the Panthers’ second run in the sixth, sending a double to right field to score Zych one more time.

Baker worked a one-out walk in the top of the seventh, but the Red Hawks couldn’t cash in.

Milton’s next game is a meeting with rival Fort Atkinson at 5 p.m. Friday in Fort.
