Fishing remains solid and the river is getting bonier up top
Fishing remains solid and the river is getting bonier up top. Most of the fish can be found above Douglas City, though the big winter fish will be showing up any day now, so don't disregard fishing lower in the system. Fishing remains superb on nymphs and this is a good time to swing as well. These are super grabby summer run fish, you can get them on Rubberlegs, Duracells, Olive Hotspots and Copper Johns. Look to put a few Golden Stone nymphs in your bag, Rolling Stones, Mercer's Poxyback Golden Stone, and the Solitude TB Golden Stone will fool these fish just fine. This fall is a banger year on the Trinity with as many fish we have in the system now. Give us a call if you would like to get on the books with your favorite guide!

Dreamy-light cupcakes with distinctive flavors are just one of the specialities awaiting diners at Sweet Tooth by Myli. Along with sweet treats, the Redding restaurant located off Cypress Avenue offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes that its owners say are unique in Redding and bring sentimental memories. "We basically grew up eating this type of flavor in the Asian community. So, it's very nostalgic to me," said the new restaurant's owner and first-time entrepreneur, Myli Vang. "It's something that we definitely want to share with the community and let everybody try these flavors that we've been having since we were kids." Her specialties run the gamut of Asian-inspired items including sponge cake, also called chiffon cake. Those cupcakes and cakes are made extra light and airy with batter that incorporates whipped egg whites and less sugar than what's typically found in traditional pastries, said Vang. She said the flavors of desserts in her shop are distinctive too, including lychee fruit, pandan and ube, which gets its taste from a purple yam. Her favorite cupcake is also the restaurant's best seller: pandan. "It has, like, this floral, vanilla, nutty flavor to it. The taste is just so different," she said, adding
