Keep it going: Thursday's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes

Vacation week is winding down, but these MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes showed now signs of stopping.

They set school records, kept their teams unbeaten and piled up the points.

Without further ado, Thursday, April 18th's MetroWest and Miford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes:

MICHAEL ATWATER, Hudson baseball

He struck out nine in a complete-game victory Thursday in the John Ahearn Tournament consolation game, as the Hawks took down Shrewsbury 5-1. Atwater allowed just four hits and a run for Hudson (3-2). Tobie Edie, Joey Farrell, Anthony Moura and Tanner Richard each had an RBI and a single, while Chris Aucoin doubled.

BRIAN OLSON, Dover-Sherborn baseball

The Middlebury-bound Olson was 3-for-3 and stole a base for the Raiders in a 6-5 win over Wayland. Jackson Shusda threw six innings to earn the win for the Raiders (4-2).

CAMDEN PARKER, Hopedale boys track & field

He broke a 12-year-old school record in the 100-meter dash. Parker crossed the line in 11.9 seconds. Jackson Hunt medaled earned a medal at the same event, finishing fifth in the two-mile in 10 minutes, 1.77 seconds.

JULIA SCHREIBER, Ashland girls lacrosse

She poured in four goals with two assists in a 10-3 win over Shrewsbury. Anna Magennis also had four goals and two assists for the Clockers (5-2). Ashland's Ashley Foster dished out two assists with a goal, while Morgan Dubanowitz found the net once. Freshman Alannah Duffy saved three shots.

JANELLE SCIROCCO , Nipmuc softball

She drove in five runs on two hits 13-0 win over Westborough (0-5) in five innings. Scirocco homered and doubled. Kira DeBaggis was 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs for the Warriors (5-0). Nipmuc pitcher struck out five in a five-hit shutout. Brynn DiAnni (double, RBI), Bridget Klupa and Sierra Lopes (double) each had two hits for the Warriors. Westborough's Hanna Rice singled twice.

Tests against the best: Milford boys volleyball 7-0 heading into matches vs. Needham, Natick, Newton North

Baseball

TANTASQUA 7, Marlborough 5: Michael Benway had two hits for the Panthers (4-3), while Ryan Dillon tripled and drove in three runs and Jack Cincotta doubled and drove in two in the John Ahearn Tournament championship game.

Boys lacrosse

HOPKINTON 11, Minnechaug 7: The St. Bonaventure-bound Logan DelPonte fired in five goals with an assist for the Hillers (4-1). Hopkinton's Chase O'Donnell collected his first varsity goal, while Jack Provencher added a goal.

LINCOLN-SUDBURY 17, Dover-Sherborn 5: Dante Venuto won 16-of-22 face offs for the Warriors (3-3).
