Going the distance: Fantastic Five high school athletes from Marathon Monday

On Marathon Monday , these Fantastic Five high school athletes made sure their teams went the distance.

They piled up the goals, starred at the plate and ensured their team ended innings.

Without further ado, Monday, April 15th's MetroWest and Milford-area Fantastic Five high school athletes:

TIGHE CLARK, Algonquin baseball

He was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, as the Titans took down St. John's Shrewsbury 4-1 on Monday. Algonquin's Zach Meehl (run) and Brennan Rice each singled twice and drove in a run. Preston Cote threw five shutout innings for Algonquin (3-2) with six strikeouts. He allowed just three hits.

RILEY COLLURA, FALLON LOZANO & LIZ LANGE, Nipmuc girls lacrosse

They poured in four goals each for the Warriors (2-1, 2-0 Mid-Mass) in an 18-8 win over Notre Dame (Worcester).

'We saved the program': How Bellingham softball skipping a varsity season saved it

TRISTA CORSHIA, Bellingham softball

She struck out four in a 5-4 win over Tri-County. Corshia added two put outs at third base and singled up the middle for the Blackhawks (2-3). Ava Cossette and Mackenzie Duffy each had two hits for the Cougars (2-1), while Breann MacMillan and Kaleigh Stenstrom each knocked in a hit.

JACK MARINO, Blackstone Valley Tech baseball

He was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and scored two runs for the Beavers in a 7-1 win over Westborough. BVT's Alex Vosburgh doubled and tripled, scoring two runs. Westborough Catcher Andrew Piscotta singled in the rangers' run.

JAMIE NELSON, Blackstone Valley Tech boys lacrosse

He scored twice with four assists in an 11-4 win over Bellingham. Jackson Mastroianni put away three goals and three assists for the Beavers (4-1). Jack Baker scored a goal with an assist and won 13 face offs for the Blackhawks (3-3).

Baseball

WACHUSETT 5, Lincoln-Sudbury 3: Matthew Mahoney homered and drove in two runs for the Warriors. L-S' Logan Umbach also had an RBI and scored a run.
