Motorcycle overturns on Route J, Elmer woman injured
On May 11, 2024, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a motorcycle accident occurred on Route J, two miles east of New Boston, resulting in moderate injuries to a woman. Dikki D. Trenton City Administrator details storm damage and street work updates
In a written report submitted to the Trenton City Council, City Administrator Ron Urton detailed storm damage and street milling work. Urton reported that storms during the first weekend of May damaged four hangar doors at the airport’s north hangar building. He noted that repairs cost about $2,500 and the city plans to file a claim with its insurance company.
Trenton Board of Education reviews scholarships, contracts and discusses future plans
At the Trenton R-9 Board of Education meeting on May 15, Superintendent Daniel Gott reported on the scholarship money awarded to Trenton High School seniors recently. He said $77,239 was awarded to seniors in external scholarships and $87,874 in institutional scholarships. Additionally, $278,640 was awarded to students who qualified for the A+ Program and plan to attend an A+ school. Gott said that amount represents the value of a two-year education at a community college for all seniors who will use A+.
