Toddler air-lifted, mother dead in Ft. Novosel wreck
DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - One woman is dead and a toddler is in critical condition after a one-vehicle crash happened on Fort Novosel late Thursday night. Kimberly Nicole Ingram (23) of Ozark was pronounced dead around 11:55 p.m. after her Dodge Avenger left the road and struck a tree on Highway 27, Dale County Coroner John Cawley said.
Update: Flash flood warning expected to expire at 12:30 p.m.
The warning was for Coffee and Geneva counties. "The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. A Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday for portions of southeast Alabama, Florida, and Georgia," says the National Weather Service.
