MADISON, Wis. -- The case of a woman accused of shooting and killing an employee at a Middleton car dealership in 2023, has reached the jury deliberation phase.

23-year-old Jakira Anderson, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon.

Madison police arrested Anderson after she allegedly shot Kawsu Samba at his workplace, MSI Auto Sales.

Middleton police said Anderson shot Samba following a dispute over a vehicle she had previously leased from the dealership.

According to the criminal complaint filed against her, Anderson went to the dealership to talk about either getting her money back or exchanging the car she leased because she wasn't happy with it.

Anderson testified in her own defense Wednesday, a day before closing arguments.
