Peter Boulware Lexus opening its doors in Tallahassee
Peter Boulware Lexus is opening its doors on Aug. 29 and will be the region's only Lexus dealership within 150 miles of Tallahassee. Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of Toyota, the Japanese automaker, and was established in 1989. It was two years ago when Peter Boulware, owner of the namesake Toyota dealership, announced plans to open a Lexus dealership and offer a local option for purchasing the luxury automobile brand of high-end vehicles. An official grand opening celebration is scheduled later in the year. The meantime, the 44,260 square-foot facility features a two-story showroom and service center with 16 service bays. It's located at 3700 W. Tennessee St., the same location of Peter Boulware Toyota. The official Lexus dealership is an extension of the flagship brand created by Boulware, who played for Florida State University's football team and went on to become an NFL Super Bowl champion while playing for the Baltimore Ravens in 2001.
