Mass. State Lottery winner: Wife’s grave numbers help man win $100,000 prize
A Massachusetts man won $100,000 from a free lottery ticket he got while playing the numbers from his late wife’s grave. Leonard Beach, of Mattapan, was one of three to win $100,000 during the Massachusetts State Lottery’s ticket promotion. If a player bought $4 or more of any draw or monitor game on a single ticket between April 11 and May 12, they had the chance to get a free Quic Pic ticket for the next “Mass Cash,” “The Numbers Game” or “Keno” drawing.
Conrad’s restaurant to fill empty Bertucci’s spot
The long fallow space at 1257 Highland Ave. that formerly housed Bertucci’s may soon be abuzz with new activity. Bobby Conrad of Conrad’s restaurants signed a lease for the space and hopes to open his fourth casual dining spot across from the high school sometime in the fall.

Of the 2,069 calls since sports betting was legalized, 1,043 were callers “looking for technical support for their sports wagering mobile applications and platforms.”. The legalization of sports betting in Massachusetts last year coincided with a spike in calls to the state’s gambling helpline, but nearly a third of callers were asking for tech help with their mobile sports platforms, a new report shows.
