Watch out on the beach: Sandworms are breeding in Maine
SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — If you have been on a Maine beach recently, you may have noticed some big worms on the sand. Sandworm breeding season has begun. The South Portland Parks and Recreation Department shared a picture from Willard Beach showing a sandworm, also sometimes called a clamworm.
