Creston woman booked on criminal mischief warrant
(Creston) -- A Creston woman was arrested on a warrant Monday morning. The Creston Police Department says 39-year-old Valerie Ann Cross was arrested shortly after 8:15 a.m. on a Union County warrant for 3rd degree criminal mischief--damage of $750 to $1,500. Authorities say the arrest occurred at the Creston-Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Council Bluffs Woman Arrested in Montgomery County for Possession of Meth and Other Charges
(Montgomery Co) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Rebecca Sue Warren, of Council Bluffs, on Pottawattamie County warrants, Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense, and Person Ineligible to Carry Weapons. Warren was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where she was held on $2,000 bond.

(Red Oak) -- Despite ominous conditions, most of KMAland avoided a repeat of last Friday's severe weather outbreak. Most of southwest Iowa, southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri were under tornado or severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday afternoon and evening, as strong storm cells popped up all over the region. Montgomery County Emergency Management Coordinator Brian Hamman was among the storm spotters called into action.

Creston suspect faces burglary, assault charges
(Creston) -- A Creston man faces numerous charges following a weekend incident. Creston Police say 24-year-old Joseph Lee James Eblen was arrested early Saturday morning for driving while barred, two counts of violation of a no contact order, 1st degree burglary-bodily injury and assault while participating in a felony. Eblen was taken to the Union County Jail, where he is being held on $32,600 cash or surety bonds.
