Kings Island opening with changes to park

MASON, Ohio (WDTN) — Grab your keys and sunscreen! Kings Island is already opening for the season.
Passholders will have a preview day Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., but the official opening day is Saturday at 10 a.m. Soak City Water Park will open to the public during Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 25.
To celebrate the anniversaries, the park is giving away Anniversary Trading Card to the first 750 riders of the specific rides on Opening Day, according to Kings Island .
Slated to open in late spring, Camp Snoopy will be a new area designed specifically for children. Attractions and rides for the new area will be Beagle Scout Acres, a camp-like activities and Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers, a new soap box rollercoaster.
Kings Island Pass Options
For the 2024 season, Cedar Fair, parent company of Kings Island, changed pass options for parkgoers.
Visitors can visit the park as many times as they would like through Labor Day with the silver pass . Consumers wanting to experience the summer season along with Halloween Haunt and Winterfest might consider purchasing the gold pass , since the two events aren’t available with the silver pass. Individuals with the prestige pass can get everything included in the gold pass, plus preferred parking and VIP area access.
Roller coaster fans can explore additional Cedar Fair parks by purchasing an All Park Passport add-on. Cedar Fair owns Cedar Point, King’s Dominion, Knott’s Berry Farm and numerous others.
In November 2023 , Cedar Fair announced a merger with Six Flags. 2 NEWS was told by Cedar Fair that there “are no plans” for a change to the park’s name.
