An individual previously bonded out for armed robbery has been arrested after a frightening carjacking incident in East Point that left one man paralyzed. According to East Point Police, the suspect attacked two men at a gas station on Virginia Avenue early on May 15, shooting one in the chest during the carjacking attempt. A one-vehicle collision led to the arrest of a Flat Gap woman on charges of alcohol intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident May 10. Deputy Isaac Owens of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said he was dispatched to a Flat Gap residence in reference to a woman who called 911 and said she was involved in a single-vehicle crash and could not open the driver’s side door, according to the arrest report.
