    Maryland Waterways Foundation cleanups

    It’s springtime, and the Maryland Waterways Foundation will be holding several cleanups and events in the coming weeks. Community cleanups are a great way to earn community service hours, connect with neighbors, and give back to the community. Volunteers of all ages and ability levels are encouraged.

    April 20 — North Point State Park & Fort Howard

    From 9 a.m. to noon in Edgemere, clean up North Point State Park and Fort Howard on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

    April 21 — Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine

    From 9 a.m. to noon in Middle River.

    April 21 — Todd’s Inheritance Historic Site

    From noon to 2 p.m. in Edgemere. The historic house is free to visit this year!

    April 27 — Todd’s Inheritance Opening Weekend

    May 11 — Cleanup with Councilman David Marks, 9 a.m. at Seven Oaks Senior Center — Seven Courts

    May 18 — Todd’s Inheritance — Shanty Festival — MWF table & trailer

    June 8 — Fundraiser- Rockin’ on the Edge Summer Concert at Watersedge Park

    Tickets available at reduced cost for limited time.

    Please wear closed toe shoes or boots at all cleanups and appropriate clothing for weather and vegetation. Gloves, bags, pickers and other supplies provided by Maryland Waterways Foundation. Please contact Maryland Waterways Foundation for more information for any of the above events/cleanups.
