Naturalization ceremony for 35 new U.S. citizens being held in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD, Mo. — The United States District Court will naturalize 35 new citizens today at Marshfield High School.

According to a release from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Carl and Glessie Young Community Auditorium at Marshfield High School.

Thirty-five people will be naturalized as U.S. citizens during the ceremony, and represent 20 countries, including Australia, India, Moldova, Nepal and Vietnam.

The National Anthem and “God Bless America” will be performed by the Marshfield High School choir, and guest speakers will include local representatives from the offices of Senators Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt, and Congressmen Eric Burlison and Mark Alford. Other speakers include:

  • Nicholas Inman, president of the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival
  • Mary Jean Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower
  • Nate Dunville, past president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association

Complimentary parking will be available in the high school’s auditorium parking lot.
