Pilot program aims to eliminate food deserts in southeast Fort Wayne
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A new initiative started by multiple Fort Wayne organizations aims to eliminate areas in Fort Wayne that have been labeled a food desert. The initiative, dubbed the Triple Impact Program, is a pilot program started by Blessings in a Backpack, Parkview Heath, Pontiac Street Market and The Chapel that will feed nearly 1,200 at-risk children every weekend and encourage community engagement.

WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WPTA) - Four juveniles and a 19-year-old Ossian man are behind bars after a 16-year-old was shot in a gun sale gone wrong. Members of the Wells County Sheriff’s Department were called on May 26 to reports of a shooting in southern Wells County, according to the probable cause affidavit.
