Arrest warrant issued for Atlanta man in connect with Cumberland hotel murder
Cobb County Police have charged Donte Leon Hale of Atlanta in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred last week at a Cumberland hotel. According to his arrest warrant, Hale is accused of using a handgun to fatally shoot Demarcus Watson, 26, around 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 28 at the Budgetel Inns & Suites — Atlanta Galleria Stadium, located near the corner of Circle 75 Parkway and Windy Hill Road.
Man caused ‘mass chaos’ at DeKalb club when he opened fire, shooting 3 people, deputies say
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A man has been charged with shooting people outside of a DeKalb County club last month. On Nov. 11, police say Tyrone Rolland, 40 of Stone Mountain, caused “mass chaos” at a nightclub. Brookhaven police say they were called to Da Spot on Buford Hwy. in Brookhaven just after 5:30 a.m. to reports of several people being shot. According to DeKalb County deputies, Rolland fired at least five shots at someone standing in front of the club.
2 burned, taken to hospital after fire at Travel Inn, Atlanta firefighters say
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two people were burned and taken to the hospital Saturday night after a hotel fire, according to the Atlanta fire department. Near 11 p.m., firefighters went to Travel Inn Atlanta off Forrest Hills Drive SW, where a fire was burning on the first floor of the three-story hotel. As they extinguished the flames, the fire department said two victims came to the responders with burns to their upper body and extremities, which could be the hands or feet.

Two men, aged 21 and 31, were shot near 15 Wall St. SE on December 9, 2023, according to initial reports from the Atlanta Police Zone 5. Weekly Safety Report: House Fire and Osprey Plane Crash in Kennesaw, Georgia
Two incidents occurred in Kennesaw, Georgia this week. In the first incident, a house fire on North Hampton Drive resulted in one person being hospitalized and another injured. The victim was rescued from the smoke-filled home and taken to the hospital. In the second incident, dive teams recovered the remains of three Airmen, including Staff Sgt. Jake Turnage of Kennesaw, who died in a military training exercise when their CV-22B Osprey crashed off the shore of Yakushima Island, Japan. Six sets of remains have been recovered, but identification has not been disclosed.

WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A motorcyclist was killed Friday night after Woodstock Police said they rear-ended another vehicle while riding on Interstate 575 in Cherokee County. Police are still working to figure out how the crash happened. They did not say whether anyone in the other vehicle involved was injured.

On December 9, 2023, a shooting took place near Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW & Wells St. SW. Atlanta Police Zone 3 officers responded immediately. A 33-year-old man was found at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite his injuries, the man was conscious and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Man shot at food mart in southwest Atlanta, police say
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A man was shot early Saturday morning near a food mart in the Campbellton Road neighborhood, according to Atlanta police. Near 6 a.m., police went to 2070 Alison Court SW, which is listed as a Neighborhood Discount Grocery. They found the 24-year-old with a gunshot wound in stable condition. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, police said.
