Highway 73 construction south of Hibbing resumes June 6
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be resuming work on the West Swan River bridge on Highway 73 south of Hibbing starting on June 6. Bridge deck work will require a single lane signal-controlled bypass. Work is expected to last for three weeks. MINNESOTA - ATV riders in Minnesota can explore for free this weekend. June 8 and 9 is “No Registration Weekend” across the state, which gives riders the ability to access more than 3,000 miles of state forest trails for free. The fee waiver applies to out-of-state residents, too. The DNR recommends exploring many trails in our area, including the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle State Recreation Area in Gilbert, which features more than 45 miles of trails. MICHAEL—The Hibbing High School 4x800 team of Tara Hertling, Jocelyn Strukel, Jorie Anderson and Mileena Sullivan placed fifth at the State Class AA Track and Field Meet Saturday at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
