Marble Falls ISD of- ficials have made a new leadership selection official.

Highland Lakes Elementary School Interim Principal Suzie Neuenschwander has been tapped to guide the campus for the 2024-2025 school year.

“I am deeply blessed to serve in an elementary school that not only inspires and loves its students, but also boasts a rich culture and strong sense of community,” Neuenschwander said in a statement. “Together with teachers and staff, we are dedicated to fostering an innovative, student-centered environment where creativity thrives and every child’s unique potential is recognized and nurtured.”

Neuenschwander brings an impressive background to the Marble Falls Independent School District (MFISD) community.

With 23 years of experience in education, she began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Pflugerville, and lat - er pursued a master's degree in Educational Leadership at Stephen F. Austin. She has served as a campus principal for three of her seven years in administration, demonstrating expertise in positive behavior man - agement, growth mind - set, inquiry learning, instructional coaching, special services, robot - ics, and fostering a pos - itive school culture. The new principal's philosophy aligns with proactive strategies for success, open communi - cation, and community

involvement.

Dedicated to building relationships that foster a team culture, she encour - ages and coaches others to achieve their highest goals. Outside of her pro - fessional life, she enjoys kayaking, fishing, writ - ing, drawing, watching sports and spending time outdoors. She values quality time with her husband, Jeff, and their two boys, Kade (18) and Koby (16). Neuenschwander be - gan serving as the inter - im HLES principal on Jan. 17, 2024. Superintendent Ga - saway said, "Ms. Neuen - schwander stepped into a pivotal role mid-semes - ter and gracefully leads the Highland Lakes team with skill and confidence. There is a joyous atmo - sphere in the halls when I visit the elementary school with Ms. Neuen - schwander at the helm. She has proven to be the right choice to love and inspire our future leaders at Highland Lakes Ele -
