On April 29, Main Street board members and interested community residents and business owners attended an open house to hear those results first-hand.
North Linn's Hilmer named new superintendent for Bellevue CSD

North Linn's athletics director and head boys' basketball coach is set to be the next superintendent at Bellevue - ending his time with the Lynx and a coaching career that saw his program become one of the most dominant in the state over most of the past decade.

For over three years, Iowa farmers have been browbeaten to forfeit their family’s farmland to CO2 pipeline companies. These companies claim to be helping the environment by capturing carbon and putting it underground. They sell their noble actions by claiming they’re helping to “go green” and save us all!

Miles Memorial Nears Completion
Miles Memorial at the Miles Cemetery is nearing completion, and the Miles Legion Members are still accepting donations to assist with the project. A time capsule will be set in place on Memorial Day. at that time the Memorial will be complete with the telescopic flags erected behind the wall.

A 28-year-old Scales Mound, Ill., resident was taken into custody Saturday after a standoff with law enforcement, a news release says.
