A few strong storms possible in Alabama this week
North Alabama will have a low risk for a few strong to severe storms on several days this week. NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has added a Level 1 out of 5 severe weather risk for parts of north and west Alabama for today (Sunday), Tuesday and Wednesday. The National Weather Service will also be monitoring trends going into Thursday, when there could be another potential for storms.
One killed, another injured in crash on I-65 in Chilton County
CHILTON COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — A Pell City man is dead, and a second person is injured after a single-vehicle crash in Chilton County early Friday morning. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said 36-year-old Justin D. Washington was fatally injured when a 2022 GMC Savana van he was a passenger in left the roadway, struck a cable barrier and overturned.

U.S. Marshals in Idaho arrest Alabama fugitive after two years on the run
BOISE– Earlier this afternoon, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force and the Meridian Police Department arrested Kardell Vashae Doss, 30. He was located in the 400 block of E. Washington Ave. in Meridian. Doss was wanted by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama for felony arrest warrants involving Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Stolen Property.
