Four Livermore residents, including a child and infant, have been identified after being killed in Manteca last weekend when their minivan overturned and caught fire.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office identified them as Arriaga Bonifacio Negrete, 44, Liliana Guerrero Mendoza, 40, Jorge Negrete Guerrero, 12, and David Negrete Guerrero, 4 months old.

The California Highway Patrol said a 2011 Toyota Sienna minivan had been traveling west on state Highway 120 just west of state Highway 99 shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday.

The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, which struck the center median, continued west and entered into the dirt/grass median that separates the eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 120.

The minivan continued on the median until it became airborne, crossing the Van Ryn Avenue undercrossing. Ultimately, it struck the overpass, overturned and caught fire, CHP officials said.

Bystanders stepped in and pulled out four children. Two girls ages 7 and 14 and a 9-year-old boy were airlifted to hospitals with major injuries, according to the CHP.

Investigators said the roadway was wet due to rain from earlier in the evening and the minivan was traveling at 60-65 mph.
