(KFGO/KNFL) The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton softball team used two 7th inning comebacks to advance to the Class AA championship on Friday at Caswell Park in North Mankato. In the opening round, DGF scored three times in the top of the 7th to defeat Pipestone Area 6-4. The Rebels took advantage of four Arrows errors in the inning. Skylar Spessard and Danielle Boyd added hits in the inning. Spessard led DGF, going 3-4 with 2 RBI.

(Willmar, MN) -- In the first game of a home-and-home series, Willmar picked up its second straight win in a 5-2 effort against the Mankato MoonDogs. Like in every other game this homestand however, it was the visiting team who scored first as it was Brendan Hord with an RBI single to bring home Mikey Gottschalk.

The NRHEG High School track and field teams not only won gold medals and qualified individuals for state, they made school history in the process. The Panthers broke two school records while advancing four athletes to state in a stellar showing at the Section 2A meet at Mankato West Saturday, June 3.

The 2023 State Softball Tournament is here and will be held at Caswell Park in North Mankato, on Thursday, June 8th and Friday June 9th. Delano and STMA have made it from the Wright County Area, and KRWC will be there for all of the Delano and STMA games. It’s been about a decade since the area has seen the Mankato East Cougars on the big stage, largely because their section-rivals Mankato West simply couldn’t be beat. This year is a different story.
