Freshman Maddie Bowe shined bright last week, and took home a nice honor to cap off her strong showing. The Hershey pitcher earned PennLive’s Mid-Penn softball player of the week fan vote, pitching all seven innings, striking out 11 while giving up two earned runs, while also going 3-for-5 at the plate in an 11-3 win over Gettysburg on Monday.
