Manhattan ( KSNT ) – A new Riley County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Headquarters Facility is coming to Manhattan.

Riley County commissioners, EMS Director David Adams, and other officials gathered Monday, April 22, to celebrate the new facility’s construction start. The new headquarters will allow smoother operations and the consolidation of all staff in one building.

“There is a lot to be excited about,” Adams said. First off, we have a facility that’s made for people to work 24 hours a day. So, it’s not a sterile environment; it’s more of a home environment for our crews, which is really important for their mental health.”
