A Charleston woman was arrested early Friday morning in Manhattan. 45-year-old Amanda McMillon of Charleston, Illinois was booked into Riley County Jail on four counts for violating the offender registration act. McMillon remains jailed on a $5,000 bond.

Police are holding a Manhattan man in jail for trying to rob a food delivery driver twice this week. Landen Bearce, 21, is charged with two counts of attempted robbery and interference with law enforcement; police say he ran away. Police took Bearce down with the help of a K-9 named “Monster” in the 1800 block of Hunting Avenue Tuesday night.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Police are in search of two unknown suspects who stole more than $1,140 in circuit breakers from the Menards in Manhattan. The Riley County Police Department Activity Report indicates that around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, law enforcement officials were called to Menards in the 500 block of McCall Rd. with reports of theft.
RCPD inmate arrested on new charges
A Manhattan man in custody at the Riley County Jail was arrested on new charges Monday. RCPD says 43-year-old Michael Westgate was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear. The original charges for the warrants were: possession of opiate, opium, narcotic, or certain stimulant and theft of property or services.
