MANDAN, ND ( KXNET ) — There’s a new bar in Mandan that’s cleared for takeoff; Aviators bar opened a few weeks ago on west Main Street, but on Friday, they celebrated their grand opening.

Co-owner, Ryan Deichert, said that they offer “monthly flight plans” similar to daily specials. In the month of May, they’re “Flying” to Minnesota, so their special beers are Minnesota brewed.

Deichert said that Aviators differs from other bars because of the atmosphere.

“We have an aviation feel here. It’s kind of a different feel than other bars have. So, you can come in and it’s comfortable and yet kind of feel like you’re almost like you’re in an airport bar or even in your living room, it’s just so comfortable here,” said Deichert.

Deichert said that he’s expecting a large flock of people Friday flying in because of the rainy weather.

Aviators is open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. – 1 a.m.
