Shaftsbury attempted murder suspect surrenders to police
SHAFTSBURY, Vt. — A New Jersey man accused of attempted murder, kidnapping and assault in Vermont turned himself in to police on Friday in Shaftsbury. Vermont State Police said 29-year-old Matthew Osei surrendered to police six months after he allegedly tried to kill a man during a home invasion in October.

MANCHESTER — A three-alarm fire ravaged a large apartment building late Thursday night, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to others. The Manchester Fire Department, along with police and AMR ambulance services, responded to a call at 245 Village Circle Way after several reports of a fire.
Two-car crash on Route 9 in Woodford leaves one with injuries
WOODFORD — A two-vehicle collision on Vermont Route 9 near Woodford City Road resulted in minor injuries for one passenger on April 25. Vermont State Police reported that at 12:03 p.m., Roy Squiers, 72, of Woodford was driving a 2014 Honda Pilot when he attempted to turn left onto Route 9 from a private driveway and failed to yield to an oncoming 2014 Acura MDX driven by Roberta Slater, 83, of West Wardsboro.
