Reading adds positions to beef up blighted property enforcement
READING, Pa. – Reading City Council voted 5-2 Monday night to add two new positions in an effort to be more aggressive in dealing with blighted properties in the city. The new blight/transfer officer would receive $67,434 and a blight/transfer inspector would earn $52,618 for the community development property maintenance department.
