Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Marengo County
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 5 a.m. Friday, May 10. The watch includes Marengo, Perry, Lowndes, Autauga, Chilton, Greene and Dallas counties. Randolph Raiders lead 5A State Golf Championships Day One
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Randolph Raiders have direct aim at the 5A State Boys Golf Championship. The Raiders may have Mother Nature to potentially thank on Day two. Randolph, coached by Mike Morris carded a team 323 (+35) to take a two stroke lead into Day Two of play at the Robert Trent Jones Shoals Course.

Softball Recap: Sylacauga finds playoff glory versus Demopolis
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sylacauga had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Demopolis Tigers as they made off with a 13-4 win. Sylacauga's victory was all the more impressive since Demopolis was averaging only 3.61 runs allowed on the season.
