Woman whose body was found in Del Rio died from overdose
A cause of death has been determined for a woman whose body was found Feb. 23 in Del Rio. According to Cocke County Sheriff C.J. The body of Day, a Hamblen County resident originally from California, was found about 15 feet down an embankment off Plunkton Road. Her body was transferred to the Knoxville Forensic Center for the autopsy. Ball said the investigation is ongoing as it remains undetermined how her body was found in that location. “The case is an overdose, but with regards to how and when she ended up in the area is still a priority to find out,” he said.
