PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: There will be plenty of sunshine Friday afternoon with highs approaching 80 degrees. Expect a mild Friday night, with another chance of patchy fog. There is a very slight chance of a few stray showers Saturday afternoon and evening but most if not all should remain dry.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Highs from Friday through Monday could reach 80 degrees each day. The next better round of showers and storms looks to hold off until the weekend is over, with showers and storms expected both Monday and Tuesday. Some of these storms could be on the strong side. ALERT DAY conditions are possible for next Tuesday. Temperatures will drop a bit following the storms, but highs will still be comfortably in the lower 70s/upper 60s.
