Painesville man charged with entering the U.S. Capitol during Jan. 6 siege
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Painesville man was charged Friday in the siege on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Larry Lucas, 57, is accused of entering a restrictive grounds, disruptive conduct in a restricted grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and demonstrating in a Capitol building. He was charged in U.S. District Court in Cleveland, but his case will be transferred to federal court in Washington.

Mentor-on-the-Lake Police responded to a social media post involving Lake Elementary school that caused concern on May 16. According to a news release posted on Facebook and signed by Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Lt. Tina Messinger, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the department was notified of a social media post involving the school.
