RANDOLPH, NJ – The Madison Dodgers had a 0-2 record Sunday afternoon at the Randolph  Varsity Challenge Tournament at Brundage Park in Randolph.

The Dodgers lost 14-0 to the No. 4 ranked team in the state Morris Knolls by a score of 14-0 in  five innings due in part to an eight-run third by the Golden Eagles. Madison kept it much closer  in their other game against Pope John as they suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat in eight  innings. The Dodgers were ahead 2-1 after scoring singular runs in the 5th and 6th innings to take  the lead but gave up a game-tying run in the 7th and a game-winning run in the bottom of the 8th.

With the two losses Madison falls to 2-4 through six games. Due to the rain that pushed the  tournament from Saturday to Sunday, the Dodgers are now set to play three games in 36 hours as  they host Whippany Park Monday afternoon.
