Farm animals bringing joy to an Austin nursing home
AUSTIN, Minn. - In honor of national nursing home week- Good Samaritan Society Comforcare in Austin brought some farm animals to the courtyard for residents. This is the third year Red Barn Learning Farm brought animals like ponies, llamas, and bunnies for residents to interact with. Comforcare staff says it's important for older folks to spend time outside doing things they don't normally do.

Showcasing young business owners at annual trade show
AUSTIN, Minn. - Students in the Mower County 'Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities' or CEO program showcased their companies at its trade show on May 15. The CEO class meets five days a week for 90 minutes and counts as a year long two credit course. It gives high school students the opportunity to actually create a business and learn all of the risks, management, and results that come out of that.
