Bridges Arts Council Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser June 4
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bridges Arts Council would like to invite you to their annual spaghetti supper. fundraiser at the Valley City Eagles Club on Tuesday, June 4th from 5-7 PM. This event will be a free-will offering and will feature music by a brass quintet from the VCSU Music Department. Money raised will help defray the cost of programming for the Bridges Arts Council, such as the Music in the Park Series and the Summer Afternoon in Pioneer Park Series.

(SMP-St. Raphel) – SMP-St. Raphael has been recognized as a 2024 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for its commitment to improving the lives of residents through quality care. This distinction is the first of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The Program honors providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to enhancing the quality of care for our nation’s elders and individuals with disabilities.
Hi-Liners win first state tennis title in 53 years
After Kailee Nielson/Georgia Zaun won at #2 doubles and Breck Sufficool/Abby Martineck won at #1 doubles, Skye Nielson held her composure up 3-2 in the second set winning the last three games in a row to help earn the first State Championship in Girls Tennis for the Hi-Liners since 1971 and only the 2nd in program history.
Hi-Liners down Legacy, play Minot for the state championship
It came down to the #1 doubles between Valley City and Bismarck Legacy. It was a rematch of last year’s quarterfinal match in the state tournament when the Sabres knocked off the Hi-Liners 4-1. This year the matchup was to see who would be playing for a state championship.
Day 1 results from State Individual Tennis tournament
After a historic night, winning the State Girls tennis team title, five Valley City Hi-Liners had to be ready to go less than twelve hours after clinching the state the first state tennis championship for Valley City since 1971. The individual tournament began on Friday morning.

Hi-Liner tennis slips by Century in quarterfinals
#1E Valley City pulls out an incredible win 3-2 after falling behind 2-1 over #4W Bismarck Century. This is the first time in over 20 years the Hi-Liner’s made the semifinals guaranteeing VC at least a 4th place state finish. Valley City will be playing #2 Bismarck Legacy in the semifinals at Choice Health & Fitness at approximately 4:30pm.
