Great Give Day aims to raise $500,000 for nonprofits in seven counties
DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - A 24-hour online giving event aims to raise half a million dollars for nonprofits in seven eastern Iowa counties. “Great Give Day” is May 15th. It’s a day to celebrate and support local nonprofits in Allamakee, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jackson, and Jones Counties.
Postville man pleads guilty to causing death of child
POSTVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - A Postville man has pled guilty to causing the death of his child. Crews responded to a residence on 245th Street back on September 2nd, 2022, for a report of an unresponsive 4-month-old. The child was taken to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Two people arrested on drug charges following Crawford County traffic stop
EASTMAN, Wis. – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, May 3, a traffic stop was conducted on State Highway 35 in the Township of Eastman. The driver of the vehicle in that stop was identified as Matthew Dolan, 37, of Hokah, Minn., and his passenger as Nicole Wisniewski, 37, of La Crosse, Wis.
Hawks hold off Cuba City before falling to La Crosse teams Aquinas and Central
The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks defeated Cuba City 11-4 on Monday, May 6 in Prairie du Chien. The Hawks offense was the star of the game with 15 hits in seven innings. Nick McCullick led the way with a three hit performance. Noah Pedretti, Bryce Lenzendorf, Keagan Dull, Brady Lenzendorf, Westin Marx, and Abe Amundson all had two hits each. Pedretti and Brady Lenzendorf each had two RBIs. Dylan Wright drove ina run with a great at bat in the sixth inning to clinch the win for the Blackhawks.
