DNREC plans to demolish small portion of Cape Henlopen Fishing Pier, repair the rest
LEWES, Del. – DNREC is looking at structural safety at the Cape Henlopen State Park Fishing Pier. The last 145 feet of the pier have been closed since November because officials found that portion was not structurally safe anymore. It was built in the 1940s and has naturally deteriorated with age.
