Southern California will experience below-normal temperatures and a chance of rain several days this week, courtesy of a series of low-pressure systems.

“A cool and cloudy weather pattern will set up for much of this week as strong onshore flow and a deeper marine layer will bring low clouds and fog to the coast and coastal valleys,” the National Weather Service said in its daily weather bulletin. “There will be a chance for drizzle or very light rain this week with the passage of these systems.”

In Los Angeles , the forecast calls for a daytime high of 67 degrees on Monday and dipping to 64 degrees on Tuesday with light morning drizzle. Temperatures remain in the mid-to-upper 60s through Friday.

The San Fernando Valley saw light precipitation Monday morning and will also see the possibility of rain on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, the Weather Service said. Orange County and the Inland Empire will see a similar pattern.

Rainfall amounts are expected to be minimal, and no advisories were issued. However, the Weather Service said gusty southwest winds will increase each day this week, and high wind advisories are possible for the interior valleys and mountains.
