The Lakers won three of four matchups against the Pelicans this season, and they cannot afford trying to dodge Denver and putting themselves in a must win next game. The Lakers get their spot in the playoffs in this one."

Gilbert McGregor writes: "Until proven otherwise, Los Angeles has New Orleans' number in high-leverage situations. This isn't exactly newfound territory for New Orleans, but LA gets the edge because of its performance during the regular-season series.
