Shooting in Lincoln Heights Leaves Man Wounded

LINCOLN HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 28 (KNN) — A man was found shot in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division patrol units responded to the intersection of North Broadway and Workman Street for reports of a shooting victim at 1:50 a.m.

When units arrived on scene, they located a man down on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to the hospital in unknown condition.

Officers located 5.56 shell casings at the scene indicating the victim was shot with a rifle.

There is no further information at this time.
