The world has lost a ground breaking acting legend. On March 29th, 2024, Louis Gossett Jr. passed away in Santa Monica, California. He was 87 years old. Gossett Jr. was born in 1936 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. After obtaining a sports injury at age 17, he was encouraged to participate in a school play. Not long afterwards, he was encouraged to try out for a Broadway play. The rest, as they say, was history.

Rosie Chavez, according to Chicago Police, is alleged to have fatally shot Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez on February 10 in the 3600 block of West 26th Street. Osorio-Gonzalez was found dead on February 13 in a Little Village alley.
