Pittsylvania Co. crews work together to get horse back on his hooves
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — Fire and rescue crews in Pittsylvania County worked together Wednesday to get an ailing horse back up on his hooves. On the morning of June 5, Laurie Lorette Allen, of Gretna, found her 33-year-old Appaloosa horse, named Eddie, "cast" up against a wall of her barn, unable to stand. A horse can become cast when it is lying too close to an object and is unable to unfold its legs straight in front of its body to stand up.
