Getting a season sweep against a conference opponent is never easy. Doing it against that team's ace pitcher is even tougher. Regardless, Waterloo baseball pulled off that feat over Wisconsin Heights, a team that had swept the Pirates the season prior. The Vanguards and Pirates opened 2024 Capitol - South conference play against one another way back on Saturday, April 6, a 10-6 road victory for Waterloo. Baraboo softball makes history, winning first softball game played at Warner Park
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Baraboo softball beat Edgewood 3-0 on Friday night at Warner Park. It was the first known time a softball game was played at Warner Park. The Thunderbirds scored first. Emma Pichler brought home one runner to go up 1-0. In the third, Addison Kohler brings in another runner.
Wisconsin Historical Society acquires Al. Ringling Theatre
BARABOO, Wis. — The Al. Ringling Theatre has been a staple of Baraboo’s downtown for nearly 110 years. The Wisconsin Historical Society acquired the building in March. Scott O’Donnell said he’s always awestruck every time he steps inside the theatre. O’Donnell is the director of Circus World, a museum complex dedicated to preserving the history of circus arts.
Baraboo, Wisconsin hosts Big Top Parade on Saturday, June 8
BARABOO, Wis. - The Big Top Parade, which features historic wagons, marching bands, animals and floats, returns to the streets of downtown Baraboo on Saturday, June 8. A news release says the parade will step off at 11 a.m. on that Saturday – anchoring a weekend of circus-themed fun.

Janesville Craig golfers cruise to team title at Sauk Prairie Invitational
Kyle Chrostowski led five Janesville Craig players in the 70’s to take top medalist honors at the Sauk Prairie Invitational on Wednesday at Lake Wisconsin Country Club outside Prairie du Sac. Chrostowski shot a round of 73, two shots ahead of Graysen Dunn of Sauk Prairie. Easton Haworth had a 77 for Craig, Alex Falligant and Wyatt Marshall each shot a 78, and Bryce Sullivan carded a 79. The Cougars won the team title comfortably with a 306, 16 strokes better than runner-up and host Sauk Prairie.
