BMK Pharma Builds $50 Million Drug Manufacturing Hub In Allen

By Ruth Alcivar,

A new pharmaceutical manufacturing operation is taking shape in Allen, bringing a multimillion-dollar investment and more than 100 specialized jobs to the city. BMK Pharma is developing a roughly 50,000-square-foot facility that will combine sterile drug manufacturing, pharmaceutical development and contract manufacturing under one roof. The approximately $50 million project, located near Exchange Parkway and U.S. Highway 75, is expected to be completed in summer 2027. Once operational, the facility will focus on producing medications for healthcare providers while supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with drug development and manufacturing services. Founded by Dr. Jay Bhaumik, BMK Pharma aims to expand domestic pharmaceutical production and contribute to a more reliable medication supply chain. "We are building the facility in Allen because we see tremendous room for opportunity here," Bhaumik said in an official statement. "Allen will become an important home for our pharmaceutical operations, and we are excited to continue investing in this community." What Will BMK Pharma Manufacture In Allen? Unlike a traditional retail pharmacy, BMK Pharma's Allen operation is being developed to manufacture medications on a larger scale. The company plans to operate a 503B outsourcing facility, a type of pharmaceutical operation that can produce compounded medications in batches

7 Dishes Mothers Stretched to Feed Six the Month Dad Was Laid Off

I use AI to help draft these articles. Every recipe and every fact in them is checked before publishing. In 1982, the U.S. unemployment rate hit 10.8 percent, the highest it had been since the Great Depression. Auto plants in Michigan and Ohio laid off workers by the tens of thousands. Steel mills around Pittsburgh, Gary, and Youngstown dropped crews outright. Textile work dried up across the Carolinas. When the notice went up on the fridge, the grocery budget shrank fast. The question at the kitchen table became how to feed five or six people on what was left.
