By Brian Weckerly,
2 hours agoA new bill in Illinois could send financial help to pharmacies and grocery stores.
House Bill 5828 creates the EDGE Essentials for Pharmacies and Grocery Stores Act to create a tax credit and incentive package to support independent grocery stores and pharmacies in underserved and rural areas. Supporters say the measure would also help local businesses keep their current employees.
