Davenport City Council will approve appointment to fill 2nd Ward vacancy

12 hours agoAccording to the agenda, the Davenport City Council will approve an appointment to fill the vacancy in the Second Ward City Council seat at its Wednesday, Oct. 7, special meeting.
A vacancy exists for the Second Ward on the Davenport City Council after the resignation of
Tim Dunn effective Sept. 17. The appointed individual will serve until the next regular city election, subject to applicable law.
The city has received expressions of interest from people seeking appointment to the
vacant seat. Staff will confirm the eligibility of each candidate prior to the council’s
consideration of the appointment.
Those who have submitted paperwork to be considered for the vacancy in the Second Ward City Council seat are:
- Edward Compton
- Jeff Good
- Laurie Hutcheson
- Bob Inghram
- Alexis Lellig.

Marjorie Alice Knox has been missing from Chaparral, New Mexico (Doña Ana and Otero Counties), since February 13, 1987, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Her photo above is an age-progressed likeness of how she might have looked at 49, though she would now be 53.
