I Checked Walmart's Beef to See Where It Comes From - Here's What I Found

I wanted to find out where Walmart's beef comes from, so I visited a Walmart store in Oregon to see what information I could find in the beef department and the packaging. Earlier this week, I published an article on NewsBreak sharing about where Kroger has been sourcing its beef from - Where Kroger Is Getting Its Beef From Right Now - Here's What to Know. I have been wondering where other grocery stores are sourcing their meat from as well. So I went into a Walmart store in Oregon this morning to see what I could find.

Skillet-Fried Cornbread Delivers Crispy Southern Comfort Fast

Spoonfuls of cornmeal batter fry in a hot skillet until their exteriors become deeply golden and crisp while the centers remain tender and moist. Buttermilk, egg, melted butter, flour, baking powder, and a touch of sugar create a thick batter that cooks much like a small pancake. Depending on where they are served, these comforting rounds may be called fried cornbread, hoecakes, Johnny cakes, or cornmeal fritters, but their ability to complete a Southern meal remains the same.

Moose Farts Are the No-Bake Treat Everyone Talks About

Moose Farts get laughs from the name, but the flavor is what keeps people returning to the plate. These Canadian-inspired no-bake bites combine chocolate, coconut, graham crumbs, and creamy sweetness in a soft, rich little treat. Each ball is small enough to eat in a few bites but packed with enough texture and flavor to satisfy a serious dessert craving. Because there is no oven involved, they come together easily and remain a practical option when the kitchen is already busy or the weather is too warm for baking.

Whipped Pudding Frosting Makes Every Cake Lighter

Whipped pudding frosting creates a smooth, fluffy topping with more stability and flavor than ordinary whipped cream. Pudding mix helps the frosting hold its shape while keeping the texture light enough to spread easily over cakes, cupcakes, and chilled desserts. It tastes creamy without the dense sweetness of traditional buttercream, making it particularly useful when the cake underneath is already rich. The result spreads beautifully and creates soft swirls without advanced decorating skills.

I Stopped Making Regular Biscuits After Trying This Angel Biscuit Recipe

There's a reason old Southern cooks called these "Bride's Biscuits." They're nearly impossible to mess up, even for someone who's never made bread before. Angel biscuits are a cross between a classic buttermilk biscuit and a soft yeast roll. Adding yeast alongside the usual baking powder and baking soda makes them taller, lighter, and almost foolproof compared to a regular biscuit.

This Oil Was Used for Earaches Before Antibiotic Drops Existed

Long before antibiotic ear drops ever existed, garlic and mullein oil was the go to remedy for earaches. It's one of the most well-known old-school remedies in herbalism, mullein has a long history in ear care specifically, and garlic brings its own natural properties to the mix.

5 Foods You Should Never Wash Before Cooking, According to USDA

Washing food usually sounds like a sensible safety step. But when certain raw foods are placed under a running faucet, that rinse can make your kitchen less safe -- not more. Water does not reliably remove the harmful bacteria that may be present on raw animal products. Instead, droplets can carry those germs into the sink, onto countertops and utensils, and even onto nearby food.

Tiffany Trump: The Apple That Didn't Fall Far From The Tree

I think we all know that there is something very off about the Trump dynasty, that sprawling American tragedy dressed up in Brioni suits and spray tans, where each act reveals fresh horrors that somehow manage to surpass the last. Donald Trump himself is a menacing wonder to behold on so many levels, a figure so cartoonishly malevolent that fiction writers would reject him as too implausible. Normally, one would argue that dragging politicians' children into the spotlight crosses an ethical line, after all, most didn't choose the glare of public scrutiny. But the Trump offspring? They don't just seek the spotlight; they sprint toward it with the desperation of moths to a flame.

Brownie Mix Cookies Deliver Fudgy Centers With Almost No Work

Brownie mix cookies transform a boxed shortcut into deeply chocolatey treats with crackled tops and chewy, fudgy centers. They hold like cookies but taste closer to the best corner of a brownie pan, giving chocolate lovers both textures in a single dessert. The mix keeps preparation quick and consistent, while a few additions turn it into dough sturdy enough to scoop and bake. Their dark color and glossy cracks make the cookies look bakery-ready.

7 Diner Dishes Teenagers Ordered After Prom in the 1960s and 70s

I use AI to help draft these articles. Every recipe and every fact in them is checked before publishing. The prom ended at midnight, the gym went dark, and the real night started in the parking lot. The food was the best part of the whole evening. Nobody was sleepy and nobody was going home.
