Clinton residents speak out about data center proposal

A group formed to protest a data center proposal in Clinton submitted a petition against the project.

The petition by Clintonians Against Data Centers contained more than 1,500 signatures. The petition was delivered to the city clerk's office September 28. Members of that group also protested outside Clinton's special Committee of the Whole Meeting. The meeting was meant for city council and members of the public to go over the ordinance regulating data centers.

There will be a short meeting Tuesday, September 29 to determine the next special meeting to work out more details of the data center ordinance.
