Rock Island High School homecoming rescheduled due to illness

UPDATE: A post on Moline's X account said the game has been postponed until tomorrow, Sept. 26. Freshmen will kick off at 11 a.m. and varsity starts at 1 p.m. in Rock Island

EARLIER: Rock Island High School's homecoming has been postponed.

According to a Facebook post by the Rock Island-Milan School District:

Scholar athlete well-being is our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution, we are rescheduling our Homecoming game. Several athletes, coaches, and family members were impacted by an unexpected illness last evening.
We are working closely with our healthcare partners, including the Rock Island County Health Department, to ensure the well-being of our scholar athletes. We will update everyone as we learn more.
